Job summary

Point Hotel’s Aira Rooftop Bar is seeking an experienced Venue Supervisor to support the Bars Manager, directing floor and beverage operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences and maintain high standards of service.

You will lead a service team, coordinate bar, floor and kitchen activities, brief staff, and ensure cocktails and beverages are prepared to standard while supporting a premium hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as an F&B Supervisor or similar role in premium hospitality.
• Proven ability to lead service teams in high-volume environments.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine and beverage service.
• Excellent communication and guest handling skills.
• RSA qualification and flexible availability for evenings/weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead service from opening through close for floor and beverage operations.
• Coordinate service flow, staff deployment and reservations.
• Brief and direct the floor team with clear guidance.
• Coordinate bar, floor and kitchen communications.
• Maintain knowledge of cocktail menu and beverage offerings.
• Monitor ticket times and support during peak periods.
• Assist guests and VIPs, resolve concerns and manage service recovery.
• Coach and develop Food & Beverage team members.
• Monitor stock, wastage and operational controls.
• Ensure opening/closing procedures and safety policies are followed.
• Collaborate with Bars Manager on training and improvements.

The role

We’re looking for an experienced Venue Supervisor to support the Bars Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences, efficient service and consistently high operational standards at Aira Rooftop Bar.

This is a hands-on leadership role within our Food & Beverage team. You’ll coordinate the floor, oversee beverage service and bring the bar, floor and kitchen teams together as one coordinated operation. In the Bars Manager’s absence, you’ll take responsibility for the venue and act as the senior operational point of contact.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading Aira's service from opening through close, overseeing both floor and beverage operations
• Managing service flow, team deployment, reservations and table allocation
• Conducting pre-service briefings and providing clear direction and support to the floor team
• Coordinating communication between the bar, floor and kitchen
• Maintaining a strong working knowledge of Aira's cocktail menu, spirits, wine and wider beverage offering
• Ensuring cocktails and beverages are prepared and presented to standard
• Monitoring beverage ticket times and supporting the bar team during busy periods
• Looking after guests and VIPs, resolving concerns and managing service recovery
• Coaching and developing Food & Beverage team members
• Monitoring stock, wastage and operational controls
• Ensuring opening and closing procedures are completed and responsible service, safety and hotel policies are followed
• Working with the Bars Manager on training, systems and operational improvements

You’ll bring:

• Previous experience as an F&B Supervisor, Duty Manager or Assistant Manager
• Experience in a cocktail bar, premium restaurant, hotel bar or similar beverage-led environment
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine and beverage service
• Experience in bar and function service
• Proven ability to lead and support a service team in a high-volume or premium hospitality environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging with guests and directing staff
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience resolving guest concerns and complaints
• A hands-on approach and high standards of personal presentation and grooming
• A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) qualification
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
