Caption by Hyatt Central Sydney is seeking a part-time bartender to join our team. You'll craft cocktails, serve guests, and contribute to a welcoming, locally informed bar experience.

Qualifications

• RSA certification is required and valid.

Responsibilities

• Mix drinks with technique and flair.

• Upsell and share stories behind the menu.
• Maintain a clean, inviting bar space.
• Assist with pre-opening tasks such as setup and training.

What You’ll Do

• Mix drinks that are as memorable as the moment—with great technique, quality ingredients, and your own flair
• Own your bar station and support other areas like Talk Shop or Grab & Go when needed
• Stay in sync with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver seamless service
• Upsell naturally and share the stories behind our menu—championing local favourites and guest faves
• Keep the space clean, stocked, and inviting—always on-brand and ready for anything
• Support pre-opening activities like OS&E setup, team training, and shaping our drink menus
• Embrace our guest-led, host-supported service model—balancing autonomy with attentive care

What You’ll Bring

• Previous experience behind a bar or in a fast-paced hospitality environment
• Passion for great drinks and great people
• Solid knowledge of RSA laws and a current RSA certificate
• Confidence using POS and tech tools, and a willingness to help guests navigate them too
• Flexibility to work early mornings, late nights, weekends, and public holidays on a rotating roster
• A proactive, inclusive, and curious attitude—we love personality here
