Job summary

1834 Hotels seeks an experienced Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of Econo Lodge East Adelaide, a 66-room property. The role combines hands-on front desk duties with operational leadership, financial administration and commercial oversight.

Reporting to the Director of Operations & Asset Management, you will manage reservations, guest check-ins/outs, accounts receivable and daily financial reconciliations while driving profitability and guest satisfaction across the hotel.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel operations at a supervisory level (Operations Manager/Front Office Manager).
• Strong front office experience: reservations, guest services, check-ins/outs.
• Willingness to work front desk five days per week.
• Experience with accounts receivable, debtor management and daily financial reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the 66-room hotel.
• Oversee front desk, housekeeping and operational teams.
• Monitor guest feedback, billing accuracy and payment handling.
• Prepare operational and financial reports for decision making.
• Ensure WHS compliance and adherence to company policies.
• Collaborate with central finance for invoicing and payments.
