Job summary

Travel + Leisure Co. in Ballarat is seeking a Guest Service Generalist to welcome Owners and Guests, manage check-ins and reservations, and invite guests to onsite sales presentations while delivering a warm, professional guest experience.

The role requires strong communication, a sales-focused mindset, and certification in RSA and Food Safety, with barista-style coffee and light food service duties. Availability across seven days is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel reception, guest services or a sales-focused environment.
• Ability to build rapport and start conversations confidently.
• Proactive, target-driven approach that still prioritizes guest experience.
• Confident coffee making and light food service skills.
• A current RSA certificate and a Food Safety certificate are required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome Owners and Guests and assist throughout their stay
• Manage check-ins, check-outs, reservations and guest enquiries
• Build rapport with guests and identify opportunities to invite them to an onsite sales presentation
• Explain the presentation experience and secure guest bookings
• Work towards presentation booking targets while maintaining a positive guest experience
• Respond to telephone and email enquiries
• Share local recommendations and assist with tours and bookings
• Prepare barista-style coffee and heat and serve a small selection of food
• Assist with luggage and other guest requests
• Complete cash handling, payment reconciliation and night-audit duties
