Job summary

Artemus Group in Sydney is seeking a warm, professional Host to welcome guests at our Manly venue. You'll manage reservations, coordinate seating and help ensure every guest's experience starts positively and ends on a high note.

You'll work with the front-of-house team, communicate with floor staff, maintain a tidy host stand, and assist with guest communications. RSA certified candidates and flexible availability including evenings and weekends are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in Host/Reception or guest-facing hospitality is preferred.
• RSA certificate is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced venue.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with warmth and professionalism.
• Manage reservations and walk-in guests using the venue's booking system.
• Coordinate seating to maximise guest flow and dining experience.
• Coordinate with floor and management teams for seamless service.
• Maintain waitlists and update guests on table availability.
• Oversee guest arrivals and departures for a smooth experience.
• Handle guest feedback and escalate concerns when needed.
• Keep host stand and entry areas well-presented and clean.
• Support reservations-related administration and guest communications.
• Assist front-of-house team during service periods.
• Help establish service standards and contribute to opening team success.
