Job summary

Artemus Group is seeking a Host for Stanley Manly at Manly Wharf in Sydney. You will be the face of the venue, welcoming guests, managing reservations, coordinating seating and ensuring every guest’s experience starts on a high note.

You will collaborate with floor and management teams to ensure seamless service, maintain the waitlist, handle arrivals, and support the front-of-house during service periods. RSA certification and flexible availability are valued as we open a new venue.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Host, Reception, Reservations or customer-facing hospitality role is highly regarded
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• RSA Certificate is preferred

Join our team as a Host at Stanley Manly.

Our newest venue brings together exceptional food, vibrant hospitality and stunning views to create one of Sydney's most exciting dining experiences at Manly Wharf.

As a Host, you'll be the face of the venue and the first point of contact for our guests. You'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere, managing reservations, coordinating seating and ensuring every guest's experience starts and ends on a high note.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests with warmth, professionalism and genuine hospitality.
• Manage reservations and walk-in guests using the venue's booking system.
• Coordinate seating arrangements to maximise guest flow and dining experience.
• Communicate effectively with floor and management teams to ensure seamless service.
• Maintain an accurate waitlist and provide guests with updates on table availability.
• Manage guest arrivals and departures, ensuring a smooth and organised experience.
• Handle guest feedback and escalate concerns where required.
• Maintain the presentation and cleanliness of the host stand and entry areas.
• Assist with administrative tasks related to reservations and guest communications.
• Support the wider front-of-house team during service periods.
• Help establish service standards and contribute to the success of the opening team.

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience in a Host, Reception, Reservations or customer-facing hospitality role is highly regarded
• A naturally friendly, confident and professional personality
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• A passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences

• Experience using a reservations experience is advantageous
