Job summary

Ipswich City Council is seeking a Coordinator Gravel Maintenance to lead maintenance across the unsealed road network. You will coordinate people, priorities and resources to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

From planning routine maintenance and prioritising road defects to overseeing minor construction and rehabilitation projects, you’ll work hands-on and build strong relationships with Council, contractors and the community while supporting your team to

Qualifications

• Certificate III Civil Construction Plant Operation or IV in Civil Construction Supervision or equivalent
• Current Queensland C class driver’s licence
• Experience in planning and delivery of roads/drainage works
• Strong communication skills to lead, inspire and develop high-performing teams
• Ability to align with safety, wellbeing, communication, collaboration, integrity and leadership values

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of maintenance across Ipswich City Council’s unsealed road network, coordinating people, priorities and resources
• Plan routine maintenance and prioritise road defects; oversee minor construction and rehabilitation projects
• Build relationships across Council, with contractors and community; support your team to deliver reliable services
• Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard

Education

Certificate III Civil Construction Plant Operation

IV in Civil Construction Supervision

Current Queensland C class driver’s licence
