Job summary

Square is seeking an Implementation Specialist for its Global Seller Onboarding team to lead technical onboarding and activation of new merchants. You will work cross-functionally to ensure scalable, high-quality onboarding for SMB sellers, with opportunities to engage pre-sales for discovery and solution validation.

You will collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success, translating complex requirements into actionable items while managing risk and timelines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a customer-facing role; 2+ years in project management, implementation, or onboarding.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects across priorities, timelines, and resources.
• Ability to distill complex requirements into tailored solutions and explain technical concepts clearly.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Experience in the POS, payments, or broader technology industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead the onboarding and activation of new merchants for Square deployments.
• Collaborate with Sales, Account Management, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success.
• Document capabilities and limitations to set clear expectations with sellers.
• Identify risks and manage them throughout the onboarding lifecycle.
• Translate complex seller requirements into actionable feature requests for Product.
