Job summary

Serco is seeking a General Practitioner to deliver high-quality primary care for Defence personnel at Kuttabul Health Centre, Potts Point, Sydney. This civilian role offers longer appointments, no Medicare billing, dedicated admin time, and a predictable work-life balance in a Defence environment.

Role is fixed-term, part-time (Mon Tue) with on-base duties during standard hours (07:30–15:30). Unrestricted AHPRA registration and vocational registrations are required, with CPD commitment and

Qualifications

• Unrestricted AHPRA registration is required.
• FRACGP or vocational registration preferred.
• Two years' GP experience in the last five years in a General Practice setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality primary care to Defence members.
• Contribute to occupational medicine, fitness-for-duty assessments, pre/post-deployment care, injury management and chronic disease prevention.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary clinical team to support patient wellness.

About Kuttabul Health Centre

Kuttabul Health Centre is located on HMAS Kuttabul in Potts Point and the area itself has been host to a naval base since 1856. It is home to Fleet Support Unit South-East (FSU-SE) which conducts maintenance on ships and submarines. The health centre provides primary medical, aviation & underwater medical, outpatients, nursing, dental, mental health, pharmaceutical and physiotherapy services to the ADF population. This mid-size health centre has up to 4,500 members and provides services for overseas visiting personnel. Standard operating hours are 0730-1530 Monday-Friday.

What you'll do

• Deliver high-quality primary care to Defence members
• Occupational Medicine environment, conducting fitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care, in addition to injury management, chronic disease management and preventative health
• Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment where patient wellness is paramount

What you bring

• Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a General Practitioner
• FRACGP, FACRRM or Vocational Registration
• Minimum two years' GP experience in the last five years in a General Practice Setting
• Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
• Australian Citizenship required (Baseline Security Clearance)
• Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care
