Job summary

Serco in Richmond Health Centre on RAAF Base Richmond, NSW, is seeking a General Practitioner to deliver high-quality primary care to Defence members in a civilian role. Benefits include longer appointments, no Medicare billing, dedicated admin time, and on-base facilities.

You will perform fitness-for-duty assessments, pre/post deployment care, injury and chronic disease management, and work within a multidisciplinary team to prioritize patient wellness.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a General Practitioner.
• FRACGP, FACRRM or Vocational Registration.
• Current CPR certification (HLTAID009).

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality primary care to Defence members.
• Occupational Medicine environment, fitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care, plus injury and chronic disease management.
• Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment prioritising patient wellness.

About Richmond

Richmond Health Centre is located at RAAF Base Richmond 2755, the oldest Air Force base in NSW, 50 km north-west of Sydney and home to the C-130J Hercules medium transport aircraft. The facility provides primary medical, aviation medical, outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health and pharmaceutical services to Defence members. The base also operates a 24-hour inpatient ward, which closes over the weekend. Standard operating hours are generally 0730-1630 Mon-Thurs, and 0730-1400 Friday (depending on role requirements)

What you’ll do

• Deliver high-quality primary care to Defence members
• Occupational Medicine environment, conducting fitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care, in addition to injury management, chronic disease management and preventative health
• Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment where patient wellness is paramount

What you bring

• Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a General Practitioner
• FRACGP, FACRRM or Vocational Registration
• Minimum two years’ GP experience in the last five years in a General Practice Setting
• Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)Australian Citizenship required (Baseline Security Clearance)
• Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care
