Job summary

Serco seeks a General Practitioner to deliver primary care at Cerberus Health Centre, HMAS Cerberus, Western Port, serving Defence personnel with primary medical and dental services. The clinic operates with a 07:30–15:30 schedule and supports after-hours care for ADF personnel on the Mornington Peninsula.

You will conduct fitness-for-duty assessments, preventive health, and chronic disease management within a multidisciplinary team, promoting patient-centred care and CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a General Practitioner.
• FRACGP, FACRRM or Vocational Registration.
• Minimum two years’ GP experience in the last five years in a GP Setting (GPT counts).
• CPR certification (HLTAID009) within last 12 months.
• Australian Citizenship required (Baseline Security Clearance).
• Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care.

• Occupational Medicine environment, conducting fitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care, in addition to injury management, chronic disease management and preventative health

Cerberus Health Centre

Located at HMAS Cerberus in Western Port, adjacent to Crib Point. The base supports approximately 4,000 personnel and is the Navy’s primary training establishment for new recruits, training around 6,000 personnel annually with an average of 800 trainees onboard at any one time. The Health Centre provides a range of services including primary medical, outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmacy care. It includes a 30-bed low-dependency ward operating 24/7. The facility is also responsible for delivering after-hours healthcare services to ADF personnel across the Mornington Peninsula. Standard operating hours are generally 07:30–15:30 Monday to Friday. Weekday & weekend on-call shifts equally shared.
