Job summary

Serco operates Enoggera Health Centre in Brisbane, offering civilian GP roles in a Defence health context with no Medicare billing. The position is casual with opportunities to grow from 2 days up to full-time, including on-site parking and uniform provisions.

Deliver primary care to Defence members in a multidisciplinary setting, including fitness-for-duty assessments, injury and chronic disease management, and preventative health. Unrestricted GP registration and CPD commitment are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold unrestricted AHPRA registration as a General Practitioner.
• FRACGP, FACRRM or Vocational Registration preferred.
• Minimum two years of GP experience in the last five years in a GP setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality primary care to Defence members.
• Conduct fitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care in an Occupational Medicine environment.
• Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical team to prioritise patient wellness.

About Enoggera Health Centre

Enoggera Health Centre is located at Gallipoli Barracks in Brisbane, and provides support to Gallipoli, Victoria, Bulimba, and Damascus Barracks. Established in 1908, this modern military base currently spans 600 hectares with approximately 8000 members. The largest base in South Queensland, it incorporates the Deployable Joint Force Headquarters, a major manoeuvre formation, local support facilities and a range of training facilities. The health centre provides primary medical, aviation & underwater medical, surgical outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical services. This facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The standard operating hours of the centre are generally 0700-1630 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend shifts).

What You’ll Do

• Deliver high-quality primary care to Defence members
• Occupational Medicine environment, conducting fitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care, in addition to injury management, chronic disease management and preventative health
• Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment where patient wellness is paramount

What You Bring

• Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a General Practitioner
• FRACGP, FACRRM or Vocational Registration
• Minimum two years’ GP experience in the last five years in a GP Setting (GPT counts)
• Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
• Australian Citizenship required (Baseline Security Clearance)
• Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care
