Job summary

Serco is seeking a General Practitioner to deliver high-quality primary care to Defence members at the Puckapunyal Military Area, near Seymour. Join an occupational medicine context with fitness-for-duty assessments, injury and chronic disease management, and preventative health.

You will work in a multidisciplinary clinical setting, supporting patient wellness, with CPD ongoing learning and a commitment to ethical, patient-centred care.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted AHPRA General Practitioner registration.
• FRACGP/FACRRM or Vocational Registration.
• Minimum 2 years GP experience in the last 5 years in a GP setting.
• CPR certification HLTAID009 within the last 12 months.
• Australian Citizenship required (Baseline Security Clearance).

Puckapunyal Military Area is located approximately 13kms west of Seymour. First utilised as a mobilisation and training area during WWI, it was formally established in the early 1940s. Today, it is home to the Headquarters of the Combined Arms Training Centre, the Army Knowledge Centre, and the Schools of Artillery and Transport. The health centre services up to 4,000 Defence members and provides primary medical, aviation medical, nursing, physiotherapy, dental, pharmaceutical & mental health care. RN led 12-bed low dependency ward operating 24/7. Standard operating hours are 07:30 – 15:30 Monday to Friday. Weekday & weekend on-call shifts equally shared.
