Job summary

Serco is seeking a General Practitioner to deliver high-quality primary care to Defence members at Kuttabul Health Centre, located on HMAS Kuttabul in Potts Point, Sydney. The role focuses on occupational medicine, fitness-for-duty assessments, and comprehensive care, with no Medicare billing and dedicated admin time.

Standard hours are 07:30–15:30, Monday to Friday. A fixed-term, part-time arrangement is available on Mondays and Tuesdays, offering work-life balance with predictable hours and

Qualifications

• Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a General Practitioner.
• FRACGP, FACRRM or Vocational Registration.
• Minimum two years’ GP experience in the last five years in a General Practice Setting.
• Current CPR certification (HLTAID009).
• Australian Citizenship required (Baseline Security Clearance).
• Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality primary care to Defence members.
• Occupational Medicine environment, conducting fitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care, in addition to injury management, chronic disease management and preventative health.
• Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment where patient wellness is paramount.

About Kuttabul Health Centre

Kuttabul Health Centre is located on HMAS Kuttabul in Potts Point and the area itself has been host to a naval base since 1856. It is home to Fleet Support Unit South-East (FSU-SE) which conducts maintenance on ships and submarines. The health centre provides primary medical, aviation & underwater medical, outpatients, nursing, dental, mental health, pharmaceutical and physiotherapy services to the ADF population. This mid-size health centre has up to 4,500 members and provides services for overseas visiting personnel. Standard operating hours are 0730-1530 Monday-Friday.
