Job summary

Serco’s Gaza Ridge Health Centre in Bandiana near Wodonga provides primary medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health and pharmaceutical care to Defence members. The RN-led 20-bed ward operates 07:30–15:30, with 24/7 service coverage and on-base healthcare partnerships.

The role focuses on delivering high-quality primary care, fitness-for-duty assessments, and chronic disease management in an occupational medicine setting, with a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a General Practitioner.
• FRACGP, FACRRM or Vocational Registration.
• Minimum two years’ GP experience in the last five years in a GP Setting (GPT counts).
• Current CPR certification (HLTAID009) - within last 12 months.
• Australian Citizenship required (Baseline Security Clearance).
• Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality primary care to Defence members.
• Occupational Medicine environment, conducting fitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care, in addition to injury management, chronic disease management and preventative health.
• Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment where patient wellness is paramount.

About Gaza Ridge Health Centre

The Gaza Ridge Health Centre is located at Bandiana near Wodonga. The Albury Wodonga Military Area consists of 3 barracks and is home to the Army’s Logistic Training Centre, Joint Logistics Unit Victoria and Schooling in various areas. This is a large base providing services to over 5,000 Defence Force members. The health centre provides primary medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical care. RN led 20-bed low dependency ward which operates 24/7. The standard operating hours are 07:30 – 15:30 Monday to Friday.

Weekday & weekend on-call shifts equally shared.
