Job summary

Green by Nature in New South Wales is seeking a hands-on Team Leader to lead mowing and edging operations, working with Ventrac, zero turns, and other equipment to deliver premium green spaces.

You will work alongside your team, maintain tools and machinery, report progress and safety concerns, and foster a safety-first culture across projects.

Qualifications in horticulture are an advantage; a valid drivers license, National Police Check, and Working with Children Check are required or obtained.

• Hands-on leader with focus on safety and quality of greenspaces.
• Experience managing junior team members and coordinating tasks.
• Ability to operate a range of mowing and garden tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Lead team in mowing and edging operations (Ventrac and zero turns, Toro Proline H800, push mowers, Atom edgers).
• Work hands-on alongside your team and maintain premium standards.
• Maintain tools, machinery and equipment; report progress and issues.
• Identify pests/diseases and support treatment plans.
• Foster a culture of safety across projects.

What you'll bring

You will be a hands‑on leader with an eye for detail who takes pride in creating amazing green spaces.

• Qualifications in Horticulture or related field is an advantage, but your experience with a wide variety of mowing and garden maintenance tools and techniques is the key to success in this role
• Experience in managing junior and less experienced team members
• Strong commitment to safety
• Valid Drivers' license is essential
• National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
