Job summary

The Fiddler Hotel in Sydney is seeking an experienced Function Operations Supervisor to oversee private functions, corporate events and special occasions at the venue. The role is based in Rouse Hill NSW and involves hands-on leadership of the events team to ensure seamless delivery and guest satisfaction.

You will manage event setup through pack-down, coordinate staff rosters, liaise with clients, and uphold RSA standards to deliver memorable experiences across all functions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operational delivery of functions and events
• Lead, train and support function staff, including floor and bar teams
• Coordinate event set-up, pack-down, floor plans and venue presentation
• Work closely with the Events Sales team to ensure seamless event execution
• Coordinate food service, guest arrival, bump-in and bump-out timings
• Allocate staff across bar and floor roles and manage breaks
• Liaise with clients and resolve operational issues as they arise
• Manage function stock, linen, equipment and operational supplies
• Ensure event spaces are clean, organised and correctly closed after each function
• Maintain and uphold RSA requirements and responsible service standards
• Conduct venue tours and site visits with prospective clients when required
• Assist with stock orders, floor plans and general event coordination during allocated office hours

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Function Operations Supervisor to join our Events team and oversee the successful delivery of private functions, corporate events and special occasions across the venue.

About the Role

The Function Operations Supervisor is responsible for the smooth operational delivery of events from set-up through to pack-down, ensuring exceptional service, strong team performance and memorable guest experiences.
