Job summary

Freycinet Resort in Tasmania seeks a Holiday Accommodation All-rounder to support front desk, housekeeping and Food & Beverage duties. This casual role offers flexible options (full-time/part-time/casual) with shifts including evenings and weekends, and opportunities for guest interaction and local knowledge sharing.

The position provides varied duties across reception, housekeeping and F&B, with potential for growth during the busy season and access to staff accommodation if required.

Qualifications

• Prior front desk receptionist and professional housekeeping experience within the holiday accommodation industry.
• Experience with hotel booking management system is highly regarded.
• Must have your RSA or will get your RSA before job commencement.
• Ability to multi-task as well as work under pressure.
• Flexible to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist Kitchen Department to serve breakfast, afternoon lounge and dinner.
• Thoroughly cleaning the cabins after guest checkout and setting up the property to suit each guest's requirements based on the SOPs.
• Welcoming guests whilst providing prompt, courteous and efficient check-in and check-out throughout their stay.
• Assisting guests with requests and memorable experiences by sharing your resort and local knowledge.
• Daily liaison with inter-departments such as Kitchen Team for guest movements, requests and activities.
• Meeting and exceeding guest expectations and handling customer complaints in an efficient and proactive manner.
• Other relevant tasks when required.

Approx. 12-15 hours per week (between Apr and Sep 2026), then increase to approx. 30-40 hours per week from Oct 2026 when the warm season arrives.

Our postcode is eligible for 88-day Working Holiday Visa specified work (subject to visa conditions).

A day in the life of this position consists of front desk receptionist, housekeeper and Food & Beverage Attendant:

• Assist Kitchen Department to serve breakfast, afternoon lounge and dinner;
• Thoroughly cleaning the cabins after guest check out and setting up the propertyto suit each guests' requirements based on the company SOPs;
• Welcoming guestswhilst providing prompt, courteous and efficient check in and check out throughout their stay;
• Assisting guests with requests and memorable experiences by sharing your resortand local knowledge;
• Daily liaison with inter-departments such as Kitchen Team for guest movements, requests and activities;
• Meeting and exceeding guest expectations and handling customer complaints in anefficient and proactive manner;
• Other relevant tasks when required.

To be successful in this role, you will have a natural ability to 'surprise' guests with your authentic customer service, setting you apart from the rest. As well as excellent time management skills and be able to work under pressure.

This role requires working a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends. We have a terrific team environment with stimulating work in a dynamic environment. The experience you gain will be a great asset to you in your continuing career in Hotel Front Office.

Skills and experience

• For casual position, we would prefer you to be in this area or nearby, to allow for flexible shifts on short notice.
• Prior front desk receptionist and professional housekeeping experience within the holiday accommodation industry- no prior experience will not be considered.
• Experience with hotel booking management system is highly regarded.
• Must have your RSA or will get your RSA before job commencement.
• The ability to multi-task as well as work under pressure.
• Able to work on a roster shift.
• A team player.
• Have a drivers' licence and own car.
