Job summary

Department for Infrastructure and Transport (Public Transport South Australia) seeks Transit Compliance Officers to support a safe, welcoming travel experience on Adelaide's Metropolitan network. You will engage customers, provide assistance, respond to incidents and ensure compliance with procedures as a visible frontline representative.

Role is field-based, with regular travel across the Adelaide Metro network from Dry Creek, including a rotating roster with early mornings, evenings, weekends

Qualifications

• National Police Check required prior to employment and renewed every three years.
• Working with Children Check required and maintained during employment.
• Must be suitable to be appointed as a Prescribed Officer and Authorized Person under the Passenger Transport Act 1994 and Regulations 2024.
• Current South Australian Driver’s Licence essential and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, provide travel assistance and information, respond to incidents, and work closely with bus operators and stakeholders to support safe, reliable public transport services and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Act as a visible frontline representative of PTSA to build customer confidence and enhance travel experience across the network.
• Conduct patrols and travel across multiple locations within the Adelaide Metro network as part of a rotating roster including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
