The Public Transport Authority in Western Australia seeks a Senior Transit Officer to lead Transit Supervisors and mentor Transit Officers across the urban rail network, driving safety, service excellence and continuous improvement. You will patrol stations and trains, conduct ticket inspections, respond to incidents, prepare reports and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support the operation of public transport services.

Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated competency in Criminal Law and the Rules of Evidence.
• Sound understanding of contemporary customer service principles and techniques.
• Certificate III in Transportation & Distribution (Rail Operations) or Certificate III in Security Operations (CPP30411).
• Knowledge of the Public Transport Authority Act, Government Railways Act and by-laws.
• Proven ability to oversee and coordinate the work of others in line with policies and procedures.
• Demonstrated leadership capability including coaching and mentoring Transit Officers.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including reports.
• Experience managing and resolving conflict in challenging environments.
• Ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to follow written/verbal instructions and motivate colleagues.
• Applicants must complete PTA Integrity and Qualification Consent Form and obtain NPC clearance.
