Job summary

Hyatt Regency Sydney, Australia's largest premium hotel, is seeking a Full Time Team Leader to join our Regency Club on the 11th floor, overseeing front office operations and guiding fellow associates. As Team Leader you will support the Assistant Manager, maintain high service standards, and ensure smooth guest check-ins and lounge operations.

Ideal candidates have 5-star hotel experience, Opera familiarity, a hands-on leadership style, and full Australian working rights with a 7-day roster;

Qualifications

• Experience in a 5-star hotel or premium environment.
• Opera system experience advantageous.
• Strong leadership and motivation skills.
• Full Australian Working Rights and ability to work a 7-day roster.
• Current RSA.

Responsibilities

• Maintain guest satisfaction by managing arrivals and guest history.
• Coordinate check-ins/outs for World of Hyatt elite members and cashier/concierge.
• Handle guest enquiries and follow up on complaints.
• Ensure smooth operation of the Regency Club lounge daily.

The Role

Located on the 11th floor overlooking the beautiful views of the Darling Harbour and offering the highest grade of comfort and convenience for our valued guests. We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Team Leader to effectively monitor the operation of the Regency Club, while providing support and guidance to fellow associates to ensure a successful and effective operation. As a Team Leader you will assist the Regency Assistant Manager with all aspects of departmental operations. You will conduct your duties in a courteous, safe and efficient manner, in accordance with the hotel’s policies and procedures, ensuring that a high level of service is maintained

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain guest satisfaction through checking arrivals list and guest history to identify guest details through ensuring that all information is accurate and up to date.
• Ensure all guest check-ins and check-outs for our World of Hyatt elite members are performed according to Hyatt standards & co-ordinate cashier and concierge duties.
• Handle guest enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, quickly following up on any guest complaints and issues, reporting to the relevant department if required.
• Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Regency Club lounge on a day-to-day basis including cleanliness, requisitioning, replenishments and staffing.

Our ideal candidate will possess:

• Experience in a 5-star hotel or premium environment, in a similar role
• Experience with la carte service and exposure to Opera highly advantageous
• Being enthusiastic, thoughtful, and personable
• Outgoing and inclusive personality
• Hands on leadership style, with ability to support and motivate team
• Efficient problem-solving skills
• Full Australian Working Rights and ability to work a 7-day rotating roster
• A current RSA
