Job summary

Ovolo Canberra (Nishi) is seeking a Front Office Supervisor (Full Time) reporting to the Front Office Manager. This role is primarily a Front Office leadership position; however, the successful candidate must be flexible across the operation and will be rostered for Night Audit shifts when required to meet business and operational needs.

The Gig

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, the Front Office Supervisor (Full Time) is key to maximizing guest satisfaction and to the strategic development of our hotel. This is primarily a Front Office leadership role; however, the successful candidate must be flexible across the operation and will be rostered for Night Audit shifts when required to meet business and operational needs. The position will support the Front Office Manager in maintaining strong guest experiences, team performance and smooth day-to-day Front Office operations.

Your Responsibilities Will Include, But Not Be Limited To

• Energize, motivate, train, develop, and lead your Team in all things Front Office
• Supervise operations and assist with duties as required, ensuring the smooth running of Front Office according to Ovolo standards and procedures.
• Conduct show rounds around the hotel for hotel guests, clients, and anyone who is making enquiries
• Oversee all requests from guests, including airline reservations, ground transportation, hotel accommodation, restaurant bookings, and entertainment plans
• Manage the Rostering of the Front Office department to ensure it meets business demand when required.
• The role will also be required to complete Night Audit shifts and associated overnight duties when operationally necessary, including end-of-day procedures, reporting, account checks, hotel security and overnight guest support.

About You

• Previous Front Office experience within a hotel environment, ideally with supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong guest service, communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to confidently lead a shift.
• Previous Night Audit experience is highly regarded.
• Experience with Opera Cloud is preferred, with knowledge of Infrasys and STR advantageous but not essential.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster including AM, PM, weekend, public holiday and Night Audit shifts when required.
