Job summary

Brinks Australia is seeking an Operations Officer to ensure secure, on-time transport of high-value goods and excellent client service across the shipment lifecycle.

Responsibilities include coordinating imports/exports, preparing documentation, liaising with customs brokers and internal teams, and driving improvements. Office-based 5 days a week with WFH options after training and probation.

Qualifications

• Experience in freight forwarding and logistics operations.
• Ability to obtain/maintain industry training such as dangerous goods and AACA within 6 months.
• Cargowise knowledge is highly desirable.
• Security knowledge is desirable, but not essential.
• Experience with secure or sensitive cargo handling is highly advantageous.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook and SharePoint are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate high value transportation, including imports, exports and domestic movements.
• Prepare and submit import/export documentation.
• Liaise with customs brokers, ABF, clients and internal stakeholders to resolve customs issues.
• Maintain communication with Brinks depots, branches and affiliates, domestically and internationally.
• Identify and record quality problems and initiate solutions.
• Handle customer enquiries promptly and professionally.
• Report non-compliance with Brinks Operating Procedures.
• Ensure shipment details are recorded in systems and documentation filed.
• Coordinate with Airlines, Cargo Handlers and Customs to expedite shipments.
• Coordinate Air Cargo Automation requirements to expedite clearance.
