Job summary

Buildability Group in Sydney is seeking an experienced General Foreman / Site Manager to lead complex commercial government build programs in the Western Suburbs. You will oversee a full site team, coordinate subbies, and partner with senior management to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.

You will manage the construction program, liaise with clients and the commercial team on variations, and ensure OH&S compliance while maintaining quality and schedule integrity across multiple

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Carpenter.
• Extensive local experience on complex commercial projects.
• 5–10 years local Sydney experience as General Foreman / Site Manager.

Responsibilities

• Programming and co-ordination of sub-contractors, suppliers, and materials deliveries
• Developing and building strong rapport with site teams, internal and external stakeholders
• Liaison with client ensuring successful delivery of project to schedule
• Management of the construction program along with the Project Manager and Construction Manager
• Liaison with the commercial team to identify variations and claims
• Managing OHS compliance on site including site inductions

This is a General Foreman / Site Manager opportunity to join a growing commercial builder who are super professional, directors are very good operators and have a fresh and energetic team of professionals with a 'nothing's too difficult' philosophy. They have a full order book of projects locked away for the next 2-3yrs in the commercial government space. This organisation has mature systems and procedures in place and the company consistently secures repeat work from their clients.

WHAT'S ON OFFER

You will have a full site team in place, excellent subbies have been procured and senior management are very experienced with a wealth of knowledge in government project delivery space. This builder is on the up, you can play a key part in their continued growth and upcoming project pipeline.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Trade qualification as a Carpenter
• Extensive local experience on complex commercial small new build projects
• Minimum 5-10yrs local Sydney experience as a General Foreman / Site Manager
• Good man-management skills with the ability to motivate and drive direct & sub-contract labour
• Highly skilled in OH&S
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Ability to solve problems and manage conflict effectively
• A commitment to quality and an eye for detail
• Knowledge with Procore and Hammertech is beneficial
