Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years' on-site supervision experience.
• Strong knowledge of residential or commercial construction methods and safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans and specifications.
• Sound project management and multitasking abilities.
• Strong communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Health and safety focus with First Aid certification.
• Foreman's Licence or equivalent certification is desirable.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Foreman to join our team at our Enfield NSW 2136 location. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to lead and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. As Foreman, you will be the driving force on-site, responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role is crucial to our operational success and provides significant responsibility in managing teams, resources, and project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate construction teams on-site, ensuring all staff work safely and efficiently
• Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed according to specifications, timelines, and budgets
• Conduct daily safety briefings and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
• Liaise with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to communicate progress and address any issues or concerns
• Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure they meet quality standards and project requirements
• Manage site logistics, including equipment allocation, material scheduling, and waste management
• Maintain detailed records of site activities, including timesheets, incident reports, and daily progress logs
• Identify and resolve problems on-site promptly to minimise delays and maintain productivity
• Train and mentor construction staff, promoting professional development and safe work practices
• Report to project management on project status, challenges, and resource requirements

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience as a Foreman or Supervisor in the construction industry, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in on-site supervision
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations relevant to residential or commercial construction
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams
• Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, plans, and specifications
• Sound understanding of project management principles and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders
• A commitment to health and safety, with current First Aid certification and knowledge of relevant legislation
• Physical fitness and the ability to work on construction sites in varying weather conditions
• Relevant qualifications such as a Foreman's Licence or equivalent certification is highly desirable
• Problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making skills under pressure
