Job summary

Lemos is seeking an experienced FRP Foreman to supervise formwork, reinforcement and concrete works across Sydney construction projects. The role requires day-to-day site leadership, coordination of crews and resources, and strict adherence to safety and project specifications.

Ideal candidates will have strong FRP experience, proven supervisory capability and the ability to plan, coordinate labour and materials on busy sites while maintaining quality workmanship and program safety.

Qualifications

• Extensive FRP, formwork and concrete construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily formwork, reinforcement and concrete works on site.
• Lead and manage formworkers, steelfixers, concreters and site crews.
• Allocate daily tasks and ensure labour is used effectively to meet project targets.
• Read and interpret structural drawings, formwork drawings, reinforcement plans and project specifications.
• Plan upcoming works and coordinate labour, materials, plant and equipment requirements.
• Ensure formwork systems are erected, braced, stripped and maintained correctly.
• Oversee reinforcement installation and ensure works comply with drawings and specs.
• Coordinate and supervise concrete pours, including preparation, placement and finishing.
• Conduct pre-pour inspections and ensure areas are ready prior to concrete placement.
• Monitor workmanship and quality through FRP works.
• Identify and resolve site issues before impacting program.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Managers, Engineers, subcontractors and other trades.
• Monitor daily productivity and keep on schedule.
• Complete and submit daily dockets, pre-starts, etc.
• Conduct toolbox talks and communicate daily work requirements.
• Maintain clean, organized and safe work area.
• Report hazards, incidents, delays, defects to management.
• Ensure tools, equipment and materials are used correctly.
• Assist with training and supervision to maintain safety.

The FRP Foreman will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site crews, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, to specification and in accordance with project programs. The successful candidate will have strong practical FRP experience, leadership skills and the ability to coordinate labour, materials and site activities in a fast-paced construction environment.

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Extensive experience within FRP, formwork and concrete construction.
• Previous experience as an FRP Foreman, Formwork Foreman, Leading Hand or similar supervisory position.
• Strong knowledge of formwork systems, reinforcement installation and concrete construction.
• Ability to read and interpret structural and construction drawings.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and programming.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate site crews.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make practical decisions on site.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Strong understanding of WHS requirements and safe work practices.
• Ability to work effectively with Project Managers, Engineers, Safety personnel and other trades.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

Licences & Requirements

• Valid White Card.
• Current Australian Driver Licence.
• Relevant construction tickets/licences highly regarded.
• Full working rights in Australia.
• Availability to work across various Sydney project locations.
• Availability for Saturday work where required by project demands.
