Job summary

Civil-1 is seeking an experienced Site Foreman in Sydney to lead day-to-day site operations, emphasising earthworks and shoring. You will report to the Director and Project Manager and drive safe, high-quality project delivery.

You will plan, coordinate and supervise crews and subcontractors, review drawings and specs, and ensure works meet project requirements while maintaining safety and efficiency on site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Civil Site Foreman with earthworks and shoring experience.
• Sound knowledge of WHS regulations and construction compliance.
• Diploma in Construction Management and/or Project Management is valued

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate daily site activities, including earthworks and shoring operations.
• Supervise site team, subcontractors, plant, machinery, and equipment to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Interpret and understand project drawings, specifications, and ensure works meet requirements.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
• Monitor WHS, environmental and company policies compliance.
• Conduct toolbox talks, inductions and safety inspections.
• Manage QA documentation including SWMS and ITPs.
• Identify risks and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
• Attend project meetings and mandatory compliance activities.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Foreman to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating day-to-day site operations, with a strong knowledge on excavation and shoring works. Working closely with the Director and Project Manager, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate daily site activities, including earthworks, and shoring operations.
• Supervise site Team, subcontractors, plant, machinery, and equipment to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Ability to interpret and understand project documentation, drawings, specifications, and ensure works are completed in accordance with project requirement
• Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with Work Health & Safety (WHS), environmental, and company policies.
• Conduct daily safety activities, including toolbox talks, site inductions, and safety inspections.
• Manage quality assurance documentation, including SWMS, ITPs, and project records.
• Identify potential risks and implement effective solutions to maintain project progress.
• Attend project meetings, training sessions, and all required compliance-related activities.

About you

Proven experience as a Civil Site Foreman with strong experience in earthworks and shoring projects.

Sound knowledge of WHS regulations, quality requirements, and construction compliance.

Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

Valid driver's licence and White Card.

Ability to identify risks and demonstrate a strong commitment to safe and efficient work practices.

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage project risks.

Diploma qualification in Construction Management and/or Project Management will be highly regarded
