Job summary

New Venture Recruitment is seeking a Civil Foreman to supervise day-to-day operations across Sydney civil projects. You will lead crews and subcontractors, manage plant and materials, and ensure work is delivered safely, on schedule and to specification.

The role requires strong ability to read plans, interpret drawings, and conduct pre-starts and toolbox talks, with a hands-on leadership style and solid WHS knowledge. Join a busy, growth-focused contractor with ongoing opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven Civil Foreman / Site Foreman in civil construction.
• Strong knowledge of earthworks, shoring, drainage.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings and specs.
• Safety-focused with WHS knowledge and hands-on leadership.
• Reliable, organized, and able to manage crews and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

The business specialises in earthworks, shoring systems (piling, capping beams, anchoring and shotcreting), land development, subdivisions, remediation and related civil packages. It operates a substantial fleet of plant and trucks and delivers high-quality, cost-effective works for residential, commercial and industrial clients.

Position

You will supervise and coordinate day-to-day site operations on civil construction projects across Sydney. Responsibilities include leading crews and subcontractors, managing plant and materials, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification, interpreting drawings, conducting pre-starts and toolbox talks, monitoring progress, and liaising with project managers, clients and other stakeholders.

You

• Proven experience as a Civil Foreman / Site Foreman in civil construction
• Strong practical knowledge of earthworks, excavation, shoring, drainage or related civil packages
• Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications
• Safety-focused with solid WHS knowledge and a hands-on leadership style
• Reliable, organised and comfortable managing crews, plant and subcontractors on busy sites
