Job summary

Novotel Brisbane South Bank is seeking guest-obsessed Food & Beverage professionals who provide exceptional service and guide guests through a memorable dining journey. You will explain menus, match wines, liaise with kitchen, and maintain spotless service areas while crafting drinks and espresso to a high standard.

We value RSA certification, a strong customer-service mindset, grooming, and flexibility to work 7 days including holidays, with AM/PM shifts.

Qualifications

• Friendly, customer-focused attitude aiming for total satisfaction.
• Good knowledge of food, wine and beverages and a willingness to learn.
• RSA Certification (Responsible Service of Alcohol).
• Previous customer service or hospitality experience required.
• High grooming and presentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Explain the menu to guests, offer recommendations and accommodate dietary needs.
• Understand the wine menu and provide pairing suggestions.
• Coordinate with kitchen to ensure a seamless dining experience.
• Clear and reset tables to a high standard and keep service areas tidy.
• Prepare beverages including cocktails and espresso coffee to a high standard.

Job Description

We are looking for a ‘guest obsessed’ Food & Beverage professionals who think outside the box, have exceptional customer service skills, and will take our guests on a memorable journey throughout their dining experience. This is a great opportunity to build your own skills and expertise to reach your personal and career goals. In this role you will:

• Explain the menu to guests, offer advice and recommendations, and assist those with special dietary needs or preferences.


• Have a thorough understanding of the wine menu and provide excellent food/wine matching recommendations to guests.


• Liaise with the kitchen team throughout the service period to ensure a seamless dining experience.


• Clear and reset tables to a high standard and ensure service areas are clean and tidy.


• Prepare a range of beverages (including cocktails) and espresso coffee to a high standard.


• Maintain standards of hygiene for food handling and presentation.

Qualifications

What are we looking for?

• Individuals with a friendly, customer-focused attitude with the aim to provide total customer satisfaction.


• Good level of food, wine & general beverage knowledge and an interest to keep learning.


• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certification.


• Previous customer service or hospitality experience is a must.


• A high standard of grooming and presentation.


• Flexibility regarding your work availability is essential, as we operate 7 days a week, including public holidays AM & PM shifts highly regarded.
