Job summary

Novotel Sydney International Airport is seeking a friendly Food and Beverage team member on a part-time or casual basis. You will explain menus, seat guests, take orders with a POS system, and liaise with the kitchen to ensure smooth service.

Hold RSA, available to work mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays; the role offers learning and development opportunities, staff benefits, and meals during shifts.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest for Food and Beverage.

• Professional appearance and brand representation.
• Previous food & beverage experience desirable.
• Flexibility to work rotating roster including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Hold a valid RSA.

Responsibilities

The Role

This is your opportunity to join our Food and Beverage team on part time or casual basis. As a key member of our team you will represent our friendly and professional service philosophy. Key duties of this role include, but are not limited to the following:

• Explain the menu to guests, assisting those with special dietary needs or preferences as well as provide suitable assistance when recommending beverages;
• Welcome and seat guests according to hotel standards;
• Use POS system to place orders;
• Liaise with the Kitchen on special requests or delayed meals;
• Follow all hygienic processes to ensure safety for all guests & staff;
• Maintain standards of hygiene for food handling and presentation;
• Promote a safe workplace by recognising hazards and promoting general WHS practises.

Parental Leave

As staff member, you will receive 10 weeks paid parental leave at full salary for primary carer in addition to government-funded parental leave. Part-time and casual equivalent available on a pro-rata basis. In addition, Continuation of superannuation payments while on paid parental leave will remain.
