Job summary

Metro North Health in Brisbane is seeking a hospital support worker to provide efficient patient support services at Redcliffe Hospital. Duties include routine cleaning, waste and linen handling, and non-clinical patient care under clinical direction.

The role involves assisting with patient handling, positioning, and transportation by bed, trolley, or wheelchair, with shifts primarily afternoons and potential relief supervisory duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic non-clinical tasks to support patient care.
• Assist with patient handling techniques and movement under clinical direction.
• Transport patients using bed, trolley or wheelchair as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine cleaning a nd waste/linen services per DoH Environmental Cleaning Guidelines.
• Assist clinical staff with positioning and mobilising patients.
• Transport patients between areas using bed, trolley or wheelchair under supervision.
• Follow hospital procedures and duty statements and participate in mandatory training.
