Job summary

Tamworth Regional Council seeks a highly organised Workshop Support Officer to coordinate servicing, maintenance bookings and customer enquiries in a busy fleet workshop. You may come from automotive, fleet, plant or heavy vehicle backgrounds and will manage records while delivering excellent service.

The role emphasizes strong admin skills, teamwork and safety; you will support the Plant and Fleet Services team, handle registrations, and use MS Office and fleet databases to keep operations

Qualifications

• Strong administrative skills with attention to detail.
• Experience coordinating servicing and maintenance bookings.
• Experience in a busy workshop environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating scheduled servicing, maintenance bookings and registration renewals for Council's fleet and plant assets.
• Providing clerical, administrative, reception and customer service support to the Plant and Fleet Services team.
• Managing customer enquiries and communicating maintenance and repair activities with internal stakeholders.
• Maintaining accurate records using Microsoft Office, Records Management, Finance Systems and specialist fleet management databases.
• Supporting efficient workshop operations while working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
