Job summary

Smartgroup is seeking a Fleet Account Manager to manage a portfolio of fleet clients, strengthening relationships and delivering high-quality fleet services that drive customer satisfaction and growth. You will work with clients, dealers, transport providers and internal teams to maximise value from fleet solutions.

The role emphasizes client retention, data-driven insights, and the ability to train and support clients, with collaboration across a team-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in account management, customer service or client-facing relationship management, ideally within the fleet, automotive, leasing or financial services industries.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of fleet clients, providing exceptional service and fostering strong, long-term relationships.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customer enquiries, resolving issues efficiently and ensuring a positive client experience.
• Identify opportunities to support client retention, growth and upsell initiatives across your portfolio.
• Monitor fleet performance and utilisation data, providing insights and recommendations that deliver value for clients.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vehicle dealers and third-party service providers to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Prepare accurate quotations, customer reporting and client training, while supporting Client Relationship Managers and providing cover during periods of leave.
