Job summary

Bank Australia is seeking a First Line of Accountability Implementation Lead to design and embed risk, compliance and accountability frameworks across the business. You will translate regulatory obligations into practical processes, lead change initiatives and partner with senior leaders to strengthen governance and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in risk, compliance, governance, or related discipline within banking or financial services.
• Experience designing and implementing risk, compliance, governance or accountability frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to translate complex requirements into practical outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of Line 1 risk, compliance and accountability frameworks across the business.
• Translate regulatory obligations, policies and risk requirements into practical processes, procedures, controls and governance frameworks.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including procedures, process maps, templates and governance artefacts.
• Lead implementation and change initiatives, coordinating stakeholders and driving adoption of new ways of working.
• Embed risk, control and compliance considerations into business processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Partner with business leaders to strengthen accountability, governance and operational effectiveness.
• Provide trusted advice on framework design, governance and risk management requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement by simplifying and standardising processes and controls.
