Job summary

Beyond Bank Australia is seeking a senior leader to drive technology risk and controls as a first-line function across our technology environment. You will partner with executives to strengthen cyber resilience, governance and risk management in an AI-enabled landscape.

You will build and mature the technology risk culture, translate regulatory requirements into practical controls, and lead a team to deliver strong risk outcomes across the lifecycle from strategy to retirement.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in technology risk and controls within financial services or another highly regulated environment.
• Practical knowledge of APRA CPS 230 and CPS 234.
• Ability to translate regulatory obligations into practical controls and policies.
• Experience building a healthy risk culture with accountability and ownership.
• Excellent communication with executives and boards on risk and controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mature Beyond Bank's first-line Technology Risk & Controls capability.
• Develop end-to-end view of technology risk across the lifecycle, including strategy, architecture, delivery and operations.
• Translate regulatory obligations into practical technology policies, standards and controls.
• Strengthen control effectiveness through monitoring, testing, and issue management.
• Build a strong technology risk culture and enable ownership by technology leaders and teams.
• Partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal and Internal Audit to deliver effective risk outcomes.
• Provide trusted advice to executives, Boards and governance forums on risk, resilience and emerging tech risks.
• Lead and develop the Technology Risk & Controls team and extend capabilities across Technology.
