Job summary

You will work to Australian Standards, handle fault finding and service calls, and ensure accurate reporting. Remuneration is between $85,000 and $115,000 per year, negotiable based on skills and experience.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in fire system installation, servicing or maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with commercial or industrial fire detection and alarm systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, inspect, test and maintain dry fire protection systems.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance in accordance with AS 1851.
• Diagnose and rectify faults on fire alarm and detection systems.
• Install and commission fire detection equipment including smoke detectors, heat detectors, manual call points, Fire Indicator Panels and warning systems.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and specifications.
• Conduct system testing, cause-and-effect testing and interface testing.
• Complete service reports, compliance records and defect documentation.
• Liaise with clients, builders, project managers and other trades.
• Respond to breakdowns and emergency service calls when required.

My Australia Direct My Australia Direct Pty Ltd is currently accepting applications for the position of Fire Services Technician for CEFA PTY LTD in Orange, NSW. Fire Services Technician CEFA PTY LYD is seeking an experienced Fire Services Technician to join their growing team.

This role involves working across construction projects and service contracts, carrying out installation, testing, fault finding, preventative maintenance and repairs of dry fire protection systems.

About the Role

As a Fire Services Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, inspection, testing, servicing and maintenance of fire detection and alarm systems, Fire Indicator Panels (FIPs), occupant warning systems, monitoring equipment and associated fire protection assets.

You will work on a variety of commercial, industrial and construction sites while ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and safety requirements.

This is a full-time position with annual remuneration of between $85,000 to $115,000 (negotiable depending on skills/experience) on offer.
