Job summary

Core Talent Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Dry Fire Technician to join our established fire protection team in Sydney. The role is hands-on across commercial sites, performing inspection, testing, servicing and maintenance of dry fire systems including alarms, detection, FIPs, EWIS and emergency lighting.

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position with potential overtime and on-call work. A current NSW driver's licence and relevant electrical/fire qualifications are required, with a

Qualifications

  • Must have demonstrated knowledge of fire protection systems and safety standards.
  • Hands-on experience with inspection, testing, and maintenance of dry fire equipment.
  • Strong customer service and site-to-client communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Inspecting, testing, and maintaining dry fire systems including alarms, detectors, FIPs, EWIS and emergency lighting.
  • Perform fault finding, repairs, replacements and rectification work as needed.
  • Complete preventative maintenance and testing in line with Australian Standards.
  • Prepare service reports and coordinate with Service Coordinators and clients.

Job description

Dry Fire Technician

At Core Talent we're currently recruiting for an experienced Dry Fire Technician to join an established fire protection business in Sydney. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on, takes pride in their work and is looking for a stable role with a supportive team and plenty of variety across commercial sites.

About the Role

You’ll be working across a range of commercial sites, carrying out the inspection, testing, servicing, maintenance and repair of dry fire systems including fire alarms, detection systems, Fire Indicator Panels (FIPs), EWIS and emergency lighting.

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position, generally working 8-hour days. Start and finish times can vary depending on site and operational requirements.

There are also opportunities for overtime and on-call work if you're interested in earning additional income.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspecting, testing, servicing and maintaining fire alarm, detection, FIP and EWIS systems
  • Carrying out fault finding, repairs, replacements and rectification works
  • Completing preventative maintenance and testing in line with relevant Australian Standards
  • Completing service reports and working closely with Service Coordinators and clients
Ideally you're someone who has
  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
  • A current NSW Drivers Licence
  • Relevant electrical/fire qualifications with hands-on experience in dry fire systems
  • Experience with FIPs, fire alarms, detection systems, EWIS and/or emergency lighting
