Job summary

DA Fire Services in Sydney is seeking a Service Technician reporting to the Service Manager. The role covers inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire safety equipment and systems on site, including panel isolation, doors, smoke detection, hose reels, extinguishers, hydrants and diesel engines.

You will perform call-out service, keep logs, and support office tasks as required. Minimum 2 years' experience, self-motivated, team player, and current certifications are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as service technician or related trade.
• Maintain relevant certification and licenses.
• Complete Hazard/Aspects assessments (JSEAs/Take 5) before commencing any task.
• Comply with DA Fire Services policies and code of conduct.
• Comply with DA Fire Services ISO9001 operational policies and procedures.
• Comply with DA Fire Services WHS&E policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Panel isolation and fire door inspections.
• Inspection of smoke detection compliance.
• Inspect and test fire hose reels.
• Inspect and test fire extinguishers.
• Inspect and test hydrants.
• Flow testing.
• Battery changing.
• Maintain and record log of all equipment on site.
• Attend call-out service.
