Job summary

Thrive Mobility is seeking an experienced Finance & Administration Manager to oversee the financial, compliance, HR and administrative functions across showrooms, warehouse and head office in Adelaide. The role is based at the Klemzig head office with flexible remote work as appropriate.

You will manage payroll, BAS, financial reporting, HR processes, and back-office systems, ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficiency while supporting growth.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in a finance, accounting or business administration role.
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Experience preparing BAS and financial reports
  • Understanding of HR administration and employment compliance
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Tech savvy with particular proficiency in Xero, Microsoft Office applications and POS systems
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Bookkeeping, accounting or business qualifications
  • Experience in retail, healthcare, mobility, allied health or NDIS-related industries
  • Experience with compliance and WHS systems
  • Experience with Lightspeed POS or a similar point-of-sale system
  • Experience with inventory management systems

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable including debt collection.
  • Process weekly payroll
  • Complete bank and general ledger reconciliations
  • Prepare and lodge BAS statements
  • Manage cash flow reporting and monitoring
  • Prepare monthly management reports and financial analysis
  • Liaise with external accountants, suppliers and customers
  • Assist store staff with queries, business systems and processes
  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding and induction processes
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation
  • Support performance review and staff development processes
  • Manage employment compliance and workplace policies
  • Oversee business compliance requirements
  • Manage WHS documentation and reporting
  • Coordinate NDIS-related compliance activities
  • Develop and improve administrative procedures and systems
  • Provide administrative support to Director as required

Due to significant growth, we are seeking an experienced Finance & Administration Manager to oversee the financial, compliance, HR and administrative functions of our business across our retail showrooms, warehouse and head office.

This is a pivotal role for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership, and wants to contribute to the ongoing success of a purpose-driven organisation.

This position is based at Thrive Mobility’s head office in Klemzig, South Australia.

There is some flexibility regarding working hours and location; however, the role will be based predominantly at our Klemzig head office, with agreed remote work arrangements available where appropriate. This role is being offered as either a part-time (minimum 0.8) or full-time basis.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Director, you will manage the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of the business while ensuring compliance, accuracy and efficiency across all back-office functions.

This is a hands-on role suited to a highly organised professional who is equally comfortable managing payroll and HR processes, entering financial data, producing financial reports, dealing directly with staff, customers and suppliers, and improving business systems.

Key Responsibilities
Finance & Accounting
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable including debt collection.
