Job summary

HYPAR Group seeks an experienced Finance Manager to lead the day-to-day finance function from our Narangba head office, reporting to the CFO and guiding purchasing, revenue, accounts payable and payroll.

You will drive financial reporting, budgeting, controls, audits and systems improvements within a purpose-driven organisation that supports disability services and residential care across Queensland.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Finance Manager or senior finance role.
• Experience in externally audited organisations.
• Strong financial controls, reconciliations, reporting and audit knowledge.
• Experience overseeing accounts payable, revenue and purchasing.
• Payroll process knowledge and operational support.
• Experience implementing or improving financial systems; Employment Hero preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant financial processes.
• Lead and support the Purchasing, Revenue, Accounts Payable and Payroll functions.
• Provide oversight and support to the finance team, ensuring clear priorities, accountability and effective workflows.
• Support the payroll function during periods of leave or absence, including stepping into key payroll processes when required.
• Work with the CFO on financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations and financial analysis.
• Maintain strong financial controls and processes for an externally audited organisation.
• Coordinate and support the annual financial audit process and respond to auditor requests.
• Monitor revenue, expenditure, accounts payable and purchasing processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Ensure reconciliations, controls and financial records are maintained.
• Partner with operational and corporate leaders to support sound financial decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, processes and reporting.
• Take ownership of Employment Hero implementation with the project team.

Lead the day-to-day finance function of a growing, purpose-driven organisation.

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our Corporate Services team at our Narangba Head Office.

This is an important leadership role within our finance function, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and providing oversight across our core financial operations, including purchasing, revenue, accounts payable and payroll.

Our organisation operates across disability services and residential care, supporting people and communities across Queensland. As a financially audited organisation operating in highly regulated sectors, we are looking for someone who understands the importance of strong financial controls, accurate reporting, compliance and sound financial processes.

About the Role

The Finance Manager will oversee the effective day-to-day operation of the finance function while working closely with the CFO, Finance team and broader business.

Key responsibilities will include:

Oversee the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant financial processes.

Lead and support the Purchasing, Revenue, Accounts Payable and Payroll functions.

Provide oversight and support to the finance team, ensuring clear priorities, accountability and effective workflows.

Support the payroll function during periods of leave or absence, including having the capability to step into key payroll processes when required.

Work closely with the CFO on financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations and financial analysis.

Maintain strong financial controls and processes appropriate to an externally audited organisation.

Coordinate and support the annual financial audit process, including preparation of supporting documentation and responding to auditor requests.

Monitor revenue, expenditure, accounts payable and purchasing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

Ensure appropriate reconciliations, controls and financial records are maintained.

Partner with operational and corporate leaders to support sound financial decision-making.

Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, processes and reporting.

Take ownership of the final stages of our Employment Hero implementation, working with the existing project team to complete implementation, testing, transition and stabilisation.

Contribute to broader finance and business improvement projects as the organisation continues to grow.

About You

We are looking for an experienced finance professional who is both technically capable and comfortable being hands-on.

You will ideally have:

Demonstrated experience in a Finance Manager or senior finance role.

Strong experience working within an externally audited organisation — this is essential.

Strong understanding of financial controls, reconciliations, reporting and audit requirements.

Experience overseeing accounts payable, revenue and purchasing functions.

Sound knowledge and experience with payroll processes, with the ability to provide operational support when required.

Experience implementing or improving financial systems, with Employment Hero experience highly regarded.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

The ability to analyse financial information and translate it into practical advice.

Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.

The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a growing organisation.

Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships across Finance, Operations and Corporate Services.
