Job summary

Performance Membranes Australia Pty Ltd in Melbourne is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to manage and grow our VIC merchant accounts across Bowens, Mitre 10 and independent partners. You will be on the road most days, supporting store teams with product knowledge and visibility on the shop floor.

You should have at least 2 years in sales or merchandising, experience with hardware networks, and a drive to expand ranges.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in sales or merchandising.
• Proven track record managing retail or trade accounts.
• Construction industry experience; high-performance building knowledge is a big plus.
• Experience with Bowens, Mitre 10 or similar hardware networks is highly regarded.
• CRM experience preferred.
• Current driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with trade and retail partners and act as the main contact for each store.
• Track account performance and put plans in place to meet and beat sales targets.
• Find opportunities to expand ranges, upsell and cross-sell.
• Run regular store visits to check stock levels, POS compliance and display presentation.
• Train and engage store staff on product knowledge and key selling points.
• Work with marketing to deliver promotions in store.
• Report on account performance, merchandising activity, competitor activity and market trends.
• Learn to deliver installation training, and run our exhibitions and industry events.
