Job summary

Shift4, formerly Smartpay, is a leader in commerce-enabling technology. The Field Support Technician - POS & Payments role is based in our CBD office and requires customer onsite visits across Sydney metro and regional areas to ensure the best possible experience.

You will set up POS hardware and software, troubleshoot issues, train customers and internal teams, and translate technical information for both technical and non-technical audiences. 2+ years in user support is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in user support and troubleshooting hardware and software.
• Experience with POS systems and payment terminals preferred.
• Comfort with on-site customer visits in Sydney metro.

About the Role

As a Field Support Technician - POS & Payments, you will provide Tier 3 support for our Point of Sales and Payments products. You'll be technically minded, handling on-site installations from start to finish and providing continuous technical support to our customers.

This role is based in our modern CBD office and requires customer onsite visits across Sydney metro and regional areas to ensure the best possible customer experience.

What you'll bring

2+ years' experience in user support and troubleshooting hardware and software issues

A go getter with proven troubleshooting skills and a customer-first mindset

Strong hands-on experience with POS systems and payment terminals (desired)

The ability to learn new technologies and devices quickly
