Job summary

Consonic Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our Sydney team, based at Seven Hills. You will provide technical support, maintenance, breakdown response and systems integration for customers, and install/commission new machines and equipment.

The role involves multi-disciplinary work with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems. NSW licences and a valid driver’s licence are required; PLC knowledge is advantageous, plastics experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised trade in Electrical or Mechanical disciplines.
• NSW Electrical Licence (preferred) or NSW Disconnect/Reconnect Licence.
• Australian Driver's Licence.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support, planned maintenance, breakdown response and systems integration to customers.
• Install and commission new machines and equipment.
• Assist manufacturing and design teams to deliver in-house cabinets, fixtures and robot tooling.

Consonic is a supplier of machines and automatedsolutions to Australian Manufacturers. Our product lines are from world class technology leaders in Injection Moulding, Plastic Joining and materials handling systems.

We are expanding our technical team and are looking for a new service technician to join our Sydney team, based at Seven Hills.

About the Role

Provide technical support, planned maintenance, breakdown response and systems integration to our customers

Install and commission new machines and equipment

Assist our manufacturing and design team to deliver in-house built cabinets, fixtures, Robot end of arm tooling, etc

This position is ideally suited to a person with a multi-disciplined skillset either through training or experienceand a continued willingness to learn.

Skills and Experience

The successful applicant will require:

An Australian recognised trade in either Electrical or Mechanical disciplines

A NSW Electrical Licence (preferred), or a NSW Disconnect/Reconnect Licence

An Australian Drivers Licence

Experience with or reasonable understanding of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment

Sound diagnostic skills and logical thinking ability

Experience in the plastics industry preferred, but not essential

Experience with PLC programming and diagnostics is also beneficial
