Job summary

Dematic Pty Ltd is seeking an Industrial Electrician to join our Field Service team in Sydney. This hands-on role involves contract repairs, preventive maintenance, installations and emergency breakdowns for Dematic customers in the Sydney region.

The successful candidate will participate in the rotating on-call roster and may work overtime, including Saturdays and Sundays. A permanent day shift is typical, with possible afternoon shifts to support operations as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in troubleshooting equipment faults and delivering high-quality service.
• Strong customer focus and ability to work unsupervised.
• Current driver’s licence mandatory.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver NSW-based support including contract repair, preventive maintenance, installations and emergency breakdowns.
• Rotate on-call roster and flexible to overtime including weekends.
• Work on-site in Sydney with tools, vehicles and equipment provided by Dematic.
• Maintain safe work practices in line with OHS requirements.

About the role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and talented Industrial Electrician to join our team as a Field Service Technician Sydney. This is a hands on customer service role that requires a self-motivated and customer focused individual.

The role will help to deliver NSW support - including contract repair, preventative maintenance, installations and emergency breakdown services for Dematic customers in the Sydney region. The position will require participation in the rotating on-call roster and must be flexible to work overtime including Saturdays and Sundays if required. This is a permanent day shift position but you maybe required to work afternoon shifts to support operations where required.

About you

In order to be successful in this role, you must have experience in troubleshooting/problem solving equipment faults, be customer focused and ensure high quality service and output is delivered.

Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications & experience:

• PLC experience (desirable but not required)
• Experience in automation (conveyors) and material handling equipment highly regarded
• Experience in computerised maintenance systems (CMMS)
• Experience in pneumatic systems
• Ability to work unsupervised, make decisions and be results driven
• Strong understanding of OHS requirements and adopt safe work practices
• Current driver's license mandatory
• Excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills
• The ability to develop and maintain effective on-going relationships
