Job summary

Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia is seeking a Field Service Fitter to join the Perth team. You will diagnose, maintain and repair Hitachi earthmoving equipment, including major shutdowns and new equipment builds for mining assets.

The ideal candidate has a Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering, a Heavy Rigid licence, and hands-on experience with OEM machines, preferably BELL Equipment. You will work flexibly as part of a team and autonomously, with career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate III in a Mechanical Engineering discipline.
• Experience as heavy diesel mechanic or field service fitter with OEM equipment knowledge.
• BELL Equipment diagnosis experience is highly beneficial.
• Heavy rigid driver's licence is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic, maintenance and repair services on Hitachi earthmoving equipment.
• Perform major shutdowns and new equipment builds for mining assets.
• Ensure quality customer outcomes and safety compliance.

With strong growth in our service department, our Perth branch has an exciting opportunity for a newly appointed Field Service Fitter to join the team. The key responsibility for this role is to provide quality customer outcomes through diagnostic, maintenance, and repairs on our beloved Hitachi earthmoving equipment including major shutdowns and new equipment builds for mining assets.
