Hitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) Pty Ltd is seeking a Field Service Mechanic to join our Launceston team. You will diagnose, repair and maintain Hitachi and Bell equipment at customer sites, delivering responsive service and building trust with clients.

Based at the Launceston branch and reporting to the Service Manager, you will work independently on a diverse range of equipment, while adhering to safety, quality, and continuous improvement standards in a supportive team environment.

As a Field Service Mechanic, you’ll work with industry-leading Hitachi and Bell equipment, delivering expert diagnostics, repairs and maintenance directly to our customers. Based out of our Launceston branch and reporting to the Service manager; this role offers variety, responsibility and the opportunity to develop your technical skills while working alongside a supportive and experienced team.

Key responsibilities include

• Providing onsite technical support on Hitachi equipment including diagnostics, repair and maintenance
• Building and maintaining excellent rapport with our customer base
• Completion and submission of all relevant paperwork
• Conducting your work in compliance with all quality and safety standards and procedures

About You

• Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology, Diesel Mechanics or equivalent
• Current driver's licence
• Ability to work independently and solve technical issues
• OEM or earthmoving equipment experience (highly regarded)
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship and continuous improvement
