Job summary

Australian Christian College Marsden Park is seeking a dedicated Secondary Learning Support Coordinator (Full-Time) to lead and support the Learning Support Team across Secondary students. You will develop Individualised Learning Plans, coordinate assessments, and collaborate with teachers to implement inclusive strategies and targeted interventions.

The role requires a teaching qualification with NESA accreditation (or eligibility), knowledge of Learning Support, and a commitment to faith-based

Qualifications

• Active Christian faith is required.
• Teaching qualification and NESA accreditation (or eligibility) essential.
• Knowledge of Learning Support or Special Provisions desirable.
• Ability to improve student learning and wellbeing outcomes.
• Experience with data collection and analysis of educational data.
• Current Working With Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and review Individualised Learning Plans for students with diverse learning needs, ensuring personalised support to promote academic success.
• Conduct diagnostic and standardised assessments to monitor student progress.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to implement tailored educational strategies and inclusive practices.
• Maintain regular communication with parents, guardians, and external specialists to ensure a collaborative approach to student support and wellbeing.
• Provide direct learning support to students across Secondary grade levels, addressing academic, social, and emotional challenges through targeted interventions and strategies.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in special education and learning enrichment strategies.
• Assist students in developing positive behaviours, self-regulation, and emotional resilience.
• Organise and oversee Special Provisions for examinations.
• Assist in the management of the Nationally Consistent Collection Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD).
