Job summary

Australian Christian College Group (ACC) seeks a Secondary Learning Support Teacher (Full-Time) to join ACC Marsden Park School as part of the Learning Support Team. You will develop Individualised Learning Plans, identify students in need, and support teachers to differentiate curriculum and assessments.

You will also advise on reasonable adjustments, assist with NCCD management, and monitor student progress while maintaining thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Active Christian faith aligned with ACC values.
• Suitable qualification and NESA accreditation (or eligible).
• Knowledge of Learning Support and/or Special Provisions desirable.
• Ability to improve student learning and wellbeing outcomes.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and review Individualised Learning Plans for students with diverse needs.
• Identify students requiring additional learning support using assessment data and referrals.
• Differentiate curriculum, assessment and teaching strategies across classes.
• Advise staff on reasonable adjustments in line with Disability Standards for Education.
• Assist in management of NCCD data collection and reporting.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records and case notes.
• Communicate with parents regarding student progress and support strategies.
• Provide learning accommodations and exam provisions where required.
• Work with students individually or in small groups within mainstream classrooms.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in special education.
