Job summary

Tyree Group in Mittagong, NSW, is offering a full-time hands-on Yard/Fabrication Support role on Day or Afternoon shift. You will organise and store items in factory/yard, prepare and dispatch fabrication jobs, operate a forklift, and use computer systems to track materials and jobs.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence is mandatory.
• Proficient with computers and job management/inventory systems.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Physically fit and able to work in a fabrication yard.

• Previous fabrication/engineering/steel/manufacturing experience is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Organise and store fabricated items in the factory and yard.
• Kit up fabrication jobs for production and dispatch.
• Organise and prepare loads for galvanising.
• Load and unload materials.
• Operate a forklift and move materials around the yard.
• Keep the yard clean, organised and safe.
• Assist with general yard duties as required.
• Use computer systems to track, record and manage materials and jobs.
• Work closely with fabrication and production teams to ensure jobs are ready when required.

Tyree Transformers design and manufacture Distribution and Power Transformers. About the Role

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who is organised, reliable, safety‑focused, and comfortable working both in the yard and with computer systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Organising and storing fabricated items within the factory and yard
• Kitting up fabrication jobs ready for production and dispatch
• Organising and preparing loads for galvanising
• Loading and unloading materials
• Operating a forklift and moving materials around the yard
• Keeping the yard clean, organised, and safe
• Assisting with general yard duties as required
• Using computer systems to track, record, and manage materials and jobs
• Working closely with the fabrication and production teams to ensure jobs are ready when required

About You

The successful candidate will:

• Have a current forklift licence
• Be confident using computers and job management/inventory systems
• Have good organisational and time‑management skills
• Be physically fit and comfortable working in a fabrication yard environment
• Have a strong focus on safety and attention to detail
• Be reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
• Be able to work independently and take responsibility for keeping the yard organised
• Previous experience in a fabrication, engineering, steel, or manufacturing environment will be highly regarded
