Job summary

Path4 Group is seeking an Air Freight Specialist to join our Sydney-based operations team. You will own air freight shipments from start to finish, coordinating with customers, carriers and internal teams to ensure timely, compliant movement and high service standards.

You will manage day-to-day execution from booking through invoicing, ensuring accuracy in documentation, billing and job costing while identifying profitability opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in air freight operations, preferably within a freight forwarding environment.
• Strong knowledge of shipment documentation and operational processes.
• Confidence managing customer communication and problem-solving.
• High attention to detail, particularly around billing and job file accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
• A proactive mindset and strong customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day execution of air freight shipments, from booking to invoicing.
• Ensure all documentation and compliance requirements are completed accurately.
• Coordinate with carriers, transport providers and warehouse teams.
• Serve as primary contact for customers regarding shipment updates and queries.
• Monitor shipment milestones and update the transport management system.
• Prepare and review accurate billing and job costing.
• Manage claims, disputes and service exceptions.
• Identify opportunities to maximise profitability on each shipment.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.

Were currently partnering with a well-known global freight forwarder to find an experienced Air Freight Specialist to join their operations team based in the South East suburbs of Sydney.

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a role where you will take ownership of air freight shipments from start to finish, working closely with customers, carriers and internal teams to ensure shipments move efficiently while maintaining strong service standards.

The Role

In this position, you will manage the day-to-day execution of air freight shipments, ensuring everything runs smoothly from booking through to billing.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing air freight shipments from booking through to final invoicing

• Coordinating with carriers, transport providers and warehouse teams
• Acting as the primary point of contact for customers regarding shipment updates and queries
